Muralidhar Beeram, M.D., M.B.B.S. is a Clinical Investigator with the South Texas Oncology and Hematology, P.A. and an Associate Member of START in San Antonio, TX. He is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.
He earned his M.D. in 1993 at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. He completed a year of advanced training in Radiation Oncology in India prior to beginning his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Beeram also completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in San Antonio, TX and an Advanced Fellowship in Anticancer Drug Development at the Cancer Therapy & Research Center’s Institute for Drug Development in San Antonio, TX.
Dr. Beeram was Assistant Professor of Medicine from 2003 until 2007 and Associate Program Director, Hematology-Medical Oncology Fellowship Program from 2004 until 2007 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in San Antonio, TX.
Dr. Beeram’s major interests are in the treatment of breast cancer, malignant melanoma and the development of new anticancer agents.
He has authored numerous publications in internationally respected scientific journals, covering diverse areas of medical oncology. These publications include scientific articles, chapters in oncology books and communications at different conferences and meetings. Among the many rewards received throughout his career, Dr. Beeram is recipient of the ASCO Foundation Young Investigator Award, Merit Awards and the AACR / ASCO Scholarship. He has also served as an expert on breast cancer for KENS 5 news and other radio talk shows. |
