START's Investigational Drug Section (IDS) provides pharmaceutical services for phase I investigational study treatments and conventional chemotherapy treatments.
START's Phase I Clinic
START’s Phase I Clinic staff is comprised of a variety of different roles including Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Medical Assistants, Research Nurses, Study Coordinators, Clinical Research Assistants, and Medical Records staff.
START's Pharmacokinetic (PK) Department
START’s Pharmacokinetic (PK) Department processes and ships all samples for the Phase I and II clinical trials conducted at our clinic.
START's Regulatory Affairs Department
START’s Regulatory Affairs Department is the critical link between START and its Sponsors. The mission of START’s Regulatory Affairs Department is to gain necessary approval from the Institutional Review Board(s) to enable patients to be enrolled in investigational studies conducted by START.
START Tumor Bank
The START Tumor Bank is a department within the PK Department and handles skin and tumor biopsies required by clinical trial protocols. Additionally, the START Tumor Bank collects and banks the tumor tissues of patients who consent. This tissue is then stored for future use by researchers developing new therapies.
